Caring For Your Crystal Wine Glasses

- DO NOT try to carry a handful of crystal glasses at one time. It is better that the pieces do not touch each other or other items. This will prevent the pieces from being scratched.
- If you need to soak your crystal it is important that you do not use harsh cleaners such as ammonia. Instead stick with a solution of warm water and mild dish soap. You will want to soak your crystal wine glasses individually, so that they do not get scratched by other dishes in the sink.
- Most experts will tell you never to put your crystal stemware in the dishwasher. If you do decide to put it in the dishwasher it is best that you use the gentlest cycle. Do not put any abrasive soap in the dishwasher with the stemware. You will also want to turn off the heated dry option as well.
- It is best to clean your crystal wine glasses with a soft cloth and warm soapy water. Do not rinse your glasses in cold water, because this may cause them to break. Make sure the rinse water is close to the same temperature as the wash water.
- Vinegar can be used to remove tough stains on crystal wine glasses. Just pour vinegar into the glass or you can soak the glass in a vinegar solution. Allow the vinegar to sit on the glass for 15-20 minutes. After you allow the glass to soak wipe the glass with a damp cloth. Rinse the glass with warm water.
